New Zealand is just a leap away from Australia, situated in the South Pacific. Divided into the North and South Island, either island offers the visitor spectacular sights and a relaxed way of life. The North island offers pleasant climate and golden beaches whilst the South Island offers scenic wilderness with its lakes, national parks, mountains, glaciers (Fox Glacier) and beautiful fjords (Milford Sound). The population of New Zealand is about 3.6million, with summer temperatures around 25-30 degrees Celsius and winter temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius.
